Description
Caladenia cruciformis is the botanical name of the Red Cross Spider Orchid – a very special little orchid that only grows in a little area outside of St Arnaud, in Central Victoria – about an hour away from where I live. It is listed as endangered and I will probably never see a living one in my lifetime – but it is something that I have wanted to embroider for a long time!
Worked in DeVere and Au Ver a Soie silks on a mossy mound of a range of speciality threads, this three dimensional plant is slightly larger than actual size and stands about 17cm tall.
Once I have priced up the kit, it will be available for pre-order. Please check back soon!
