Beetle Wing Trinket Box Cyber Class – bookings now open – this is the last time that this cyber class will run!
The Beetle Wing Trinket Box cyber class features Indian Goldwork embroidery techniques using English gilt threads along with beetle wings and garnets.
The class is taught over two lessons and includes preparation, transferring the design, applying beetle wings, use of pearl purl, smooth and bright check purls. Techniques include couching and laying purl in collars and hoops. This design is suitable for embroiderers of all skill levels.
The kit contains all fabrics, metal threads, beetle wings, garnet beads, needles and pattern required to work the design as well as the trinket box to mount the embroidery in. Once you have registered for the class, your kit and welcome letter with requirements list and password will be sent to you.
The Cyber Class notes will be posted online at two week intervals and contain step by step instructions and colour photographs as if you were watching over my shoulder as I stitch. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file. This is free to download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/
As mentioned, an online Forum has been created for Cyber Class participants to talk to each other about their progress, ask me questions and post photos. This is a closed forum that only Beetle Wing Trinket Box Cyber Class participants can enter. If you wish to ask me any questions about this, please feel free to email me.
Your registering for the Cyber Class indicates your agreement to Copyright terms and conditions – that the instructions, photos and design are the intellectual property of Alison Cole Embroidery and may not be copied, sold or taught – in part or in full – without the written permission from the author
