Description
Beetle-wings for use in embroidery – cut them to shape using sharp scissors (your metal thread scissors are fine for this) and then punch a hole (or two) with a pin to stitch them on. They are kind of like cutting fingernails. Some references say to soak them in hot water or stem them to make cutting easier – I have never done this as there is no need. I use Gutermann #18 for applying them.
