Beginners Butterfly is a sweet little butterfly for absolute beginners! This piece was designed for the free hands on workshops that I was taking at the Royal Melbourne Show. The little butterfly is padded with felt and is then embroidered with kid leather, pearl purl and bright check purl and finally finished with two beads. It is a good size to turn into a brooch or to put on the lid of a trinket box – 3cm x 4cm. The silk background is available in a range of colours: black, steel blue, peacock, coral, rose pink, ivory, lipstick pink, plum, purple, old gold, red. If your favourite colour isn’t listed – just ask – if I have it, I can pack it for you!
