Description
Branching Out was designed specially for the Embroidery Association of Canada’s 40th Anniversary National Seminar, which was held in Winnipeg, Canada, in May 2013. The piece features a branch of a Canadian Maple being visited by a Canadian Question Mark Butterfly.
The piece is worked in both Stumpwork embroidery techniques and Goldwork embroidery techniques and features English gilt, copper and coloured threads along with Colourstreams sadi thread, Au Ver a Soie silks and Gumnuts silks. The kit contains all threads and materials required to work the design – (but not the calico for setting up your frame).
The design measures 20cm x 23cm approximately.
