Description
Byzantine Garden is inspired by a mosaic in Sicily – to achieve the richness of the golden mosaic it is embroidered on a gold background fabric using a range of Stumpwork techniques with a splash of Goldwork.
The leopard and peacock stand in a garden of Olive, Orange and Date Palm trees which use simple stitches to achieve an opulent look. Worked in a range of silks and specialty threads, the leopard has glass eyes and the peacock’s tail is worked in peacock feather.
The kit contains all fabrics, threads, beads, garnets, paillettes, glass eyes, feather, wires, needles and instructions. Design Size is 17cm x 13.5cm.
