Dragonfly Brooch Cyber Class – bookings now open!
The Dragonfly brooch cyber class is suitable for all levels of stitchers – covering traditional Goldwork techniques such as padding with felt, applying pearl purl, hooping with purl and chipping along with some other techniques like beading and ribbon embroidery. The piece is highlighted Swarovski crystals and is worked in English gilt and Indian coloured threads on a silk background. The class is taught in two lessons and includes preparation and transferring the design.
The kit contains all fabrics, English gilt and Indian coloured metal threads, Gutermann thread, Mill Hill beads, Swarovksi crystals, silk ribbon, needles and pattern required to work one dragonfly brooch – there are several colours to choose from. Once you have registered for the class, your kit and requirements list will be mailed to you along with your password to the class and forum.
The Cyber Class notes will be posted online at two week intervals and contain step by step instructions and colour photographs as if you were watching over my shoulder as I stitch. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file. This is free to download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/
As mentioned, an online Forum has been created for Cyber Class participants to talk to each other about their progress, ask me questions and post photos. This is a closed forum that only Dragonfly Brooch Cyber Class participants can enter. If you wish to ask me any questions about this, please feel free to email me.
Your registering for the Cyber Class indicates your agreement to Copyright terms and conditions – that the instructions, photos and design are the intellectual property of Alison Cole Embroidery and may not be copied, sold or taught – in part or in full – without the written permission from the author
Price: $80.00 Worldwide. This cost includes the kit, shipping (with DHL for international orders) and the two lessons to work the project.
