Elizabethan Rose is the 2022 Christmas Ornament. Inspired by Tudor Blackwork, this year’s ornament is worked in red and gold on a latte linen background using Gloriana Silk and English Gilt Passing Thread. It’s backed with a complimenting patchwork cotton and finished with a metallic twisted cord. For those that are worried – it’s not Elizabethan Plaited Braid – it’s a much easier braid that is very simple to work. The kit comes with step by step colour instructions showing the working process of the stitching and is a great introduction for beginners to this style of embroidery.
