Inspirations Magazine Issue 120 is in stock now!

Celebrate 30 Years!

To celebrate 30 years of Inspirations, we asked designers to create a project incorporating some favourite elements from their own embroidery journey.  The result?  Exciting dimensional work, exquisite threadpainting, meticulous goldwork and contemporary needlelace, alongside a delightful array of embroidery stitches and beading techniques.

Inspirations Issue 120 features the following projects:

  • Uniquely shaped pincushion and matching etui with signature suface embroidery by Susan O’Connor
  • Echinacea in striking colours with a stumpwork twist on a painted background by Jo Butcher
  • Botanical panel of crimson flowers with friendly pollinators by Trish Burr
  • Three-dimensional beetle brooch finished with metal thread and sequins by Tania Cohen
  • Softly shaded stumpwork petals highlight the beauty of garden flowers by Ana Mallah
  • Small cushion with a sophisiticated pairing of needlelace and beading by Hazel Blomkamp
  • Goldwork and Stumpwork combined in a grapevine inspired by a Japanese family crest by Jane Nicholas
  • Sampler with favourite counted stitches, motifs, colours and a touch of stumpwork by Betsy Morgan
