Jacobean Splendour Cyber Class

Jacobean Splendour Cyber Class – bookings now open

The Jacobean Splendour cyber class features Goldwork embroidery techniques using a range of English gilt and 2% gold threads along with Gumnut Yarns Silks to create the design.

The class is taught over six lessons and includes preparation, transferring the design, padding with felt, use of pearl purl, smooth, rough and bright check purls, using Grecian, metallic organza and twists. Techniques include chipping, formally laying purl and twist, brick stitch, Burden stitch and Or Nue shading. This design is suitable for embroiderers of all skill levels.

The kit contains all fabrics, silk and metal threads, garnet and coral beads, needles and pattern required to work the design.  Once you have registered for the class, your kit and welcome letter with requirements list and password will be sent to you.

The Cyber Class notes will be posted online at two week intervals and contain step by step instructions and colour photographs as if you were watching over my shoulder as I stitch.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file.  This is free to download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/

As mentioned, an online Forum has been created for Cyber Class participants to talk to each other about their progress, ask me questions and post photos.  This is a closed forum that only Jacobean Splendour Cyber Class participants can enter. If you wish to ask me any questions about this, please feel free to email me.

Your registering for the Cyber Class indicates your agreement to Copyright terms and conditions – that the instructions, photos and design are the intellectual property of Alison Cole Embroidery and may not be copied, sold or taught – in part or in full – without the written permission from the author
