Description
Little Green Bug is inspired by an antique tablecloth worked in cotton held in the collection of the Australian Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades in Ballarat. It has been redesigned and transformed into a three dimensional Stumpwork project featuring Goldwork utilising a triad of colour on a background of Thai silk that I purchased in Thailand some 15 years ago. The project is embroidered in ingredients sourced from all over the world including Au Ver a Soie and Thread Gatherer silks (France and USA respectively), English gilt and coloured metal threads, sadi thread from India and Japanese couching thread. The design size is 13cm x 8.5cm
