Description
The Mayflower is a delicious little Stumpwork embroidery which is ideal for beginners but also has some techniques that those already hooked on Stumpwork may not have done before. The design is embroidered on rich hand dyed Colour Streams silk velvet using Cascade House and Gumnut Yarns Silk threads.
The design features flat elements worked over detached elements (worked over more flat elements) and has a couple of easy mosses – one is actually a cheat! The piece is worked on the silk velvet to mimic the wet, mossy grounds that this little plant lives.
The design is approximately 11 cm x 8.5cm
