Have you ever wanted to transfer your designs the ‘old’ way? A limited number of pounce packs are in stock that contain a pot of white transfer powder, a pot of blue transfer powder (both Italian) and a small pounce pad to apply it.
This is the technique that the Royal School of Needlework use for transferring designs in their workshops. The design is pricked with holes before being placed over the background fabric – the pounce pad is gently dipped into the powder before being rubbed over the pattern for the powder to fall through the pricking. Once the paper pattern has been removed, the powder design is then over-painted so that the design doesn’t disappear
