Silverwattle Drive was the retreat project in 2022 – and while I was going to keep the retreat projects purely as retreat projects, this design is now available on the website. The piece features our street’s namesake Acacia – the Silverwattle – along with an Australian blue banded bee. The design is worked in English gilt and coloured metal threads along with Indian sadi threads on a hand dyed silk background – no two backgrounds are ever alike! The design size is approximately 10cm x 9cm
