Description
Stumpwork Deer Floral features only techniques that were used in traditional Stumpwork from the 17th Century – this piece is a delicious challenge for the experienced Embroiderer.
Worked in a variety of silks and English metal threads on a silk satin background, it features petit point slips, silk wrapped vellum and five variations of needle-lace among its many techniques.
This is not a small project – while the design size is only 20.5cm x 16cm – there are many hundreds of hours of enjoyment to be had in this piece. The kit contains all fabrics (silk and linen), threads (silk and metal), wires, beads, paddings and feathers required to work the design.
