Description
Invermay Wildflowers 2 – Tetratheca and Acacia is the second in my series of local wildflowers. So local in fact – they grow on our bush block! In the spring the roadside near our home and all the blocks surrounding are carpeted in bright purple Tetratheca flowers which last for a couple of months! The sweet little low growing wattle creeps along the ground – hiding in the grass and under the purple flowers.
This Stumpwork piece is worked on olive green silk dupion which is darker than the photo shows and is embroidered in a mixture of beautiful silks – Gumnut Yarns Silk, Cascade House Silks and Au Ver a Soie Silks.
