Description
The Peacock is a design that features techniques used in traditional 17th Century Stumpwork embroideries along with three contemporary techniques. The bird features a stunning needle-lace tail and sits on a pear tree stump inside a roundel. It is worked in a wide range of threads: Pearsall’s silks, Valdani silk, Gumnuts Silk, Cottage Garden threads cottons, Silk Wrapped Pearl Purl, Braided Silk and Gilt Twists to name but a few. All requirements to work the design are included in the kit apart from hardware such as hoops and scissors.
