Tigerlily Cyber Class – bookings now open!
The Tigerlily cyber class is suitable for those new to Stumpwork embroidery – covering traditional stumpwork techniques such as padding making petals with a wire edge and buttonhole stitch and working long and short stitch. It features wired stamens and pistal and the piece also uses Goldwork techniques for the stem and leaves – working with gilt gimp and kid leather.
The class is taught in two lessons and includes preparation and transferring the design. The kit contains all fabrics, English gilt metal threads, Gutermann thread, Thread Gatherer Silk thread, needles and pattern required to work the design. Once you have registered for the class, your kit and requirements list will be mailed to you along with your password to the class and forum.
The Cyber Class notes will be posted online at two week intervals and contain step by step instructions and colour photographs as if you were watching over my shoulder as I stitch. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file. This is free to download at http://get.adobe.com/reader/
As mentioned, an online Forum has been created for Cyber Class participants to talk to each other about their progress, ask me questions and post photos. This is a closed forum that only Tigerlily Cyber Class participants can enter. If you wish to ask me any questions about this, please feel free to email me.
Your registering for the Cyber Class indicates your agreement to Copyright terms and conditions – that the instructions, photos and design are the intellectual property of Alison Cole Embroidery and may not be copied, sold or taught – in part or in full – without the written permission from the author
Price: $120.00 Worldwide. This cost includes the kit, domestic postage with tracking/international shipping with DHL, and the lesson to work the project.
