Description
These little waratah brooches are inspired by the much larger waratahs that I created as part of The Embroiderers Guild, Victoria’s project for Melbourne Fashion Week. The Guild was working with designer Micky in the Van to embellish a dress and jacket with embroidery and waratahs were the feature flower. One of the waratahs I made filled the back of the bolero jacket.
These little brooches are a great size for anyone wanting to have a go at Goldwork for the first time – or for an experienced Goldworker who just wants a small wearable project! They are available in a choice of Gold or Red and are worked in sadi thread, kid leather and organza ribbon.
