Description
The common name of this beautiful flower is the Wood Lily or Prairie Lily – the botanical name is Lilium philadelphicum and it is the Provincial flower of Saskatchewan, Canada. This piece was designed in early 2023 for teaching at the Endless Horizons National Seminar in Regina, Saskatchewan in May of 2024.
The design is worked on a background of silk dupion and is embroidered in Stumpwork techniques using Au Ver a Soie silks. The kit contains all fabrics, threads, wires, needles, instructions etc to complete the design.
